Sesame Balls or Buchi

Ingredients


1 1/8 cups boiled water
2 3/4 cups glutinous rice flour
1 tbsp oil
6-7 cups oil for deep fry
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup sesame seeds

2 1/2 cup mashed sweet potatoes mixed
with 1/4 cup of condensed milk and
1tbsp of butter.
Butter is optional.

Procedure

*Mix sugar into the boiling water untill it disolve
*let the water cool down a bit
*In a bowl, combine glutinous rice flour and the water mixture together until well combined.
*roll the dough into balls.
*Flatten the flour dough balls and place filling inside. Wrap the dough around filling and form into balls.
*Wet each ball with water and roll in sesame seeds, lightly pressing the seeds onto the ball to make sure they stick.
*Heat oil over medium-low heat and fry the buchi balls for about 3- 5 minutes, rotating constantly.

Procedure for

Filling:

  1. Place water in small pot over medium heat. Add the Sweet potatoes and bring it to boil for at leas 20-25 minutes
    2.Peel the sweet potatoes and place in a bowl, Add the condensed milk and 2 tbsp butter and mash it till it combine. and stir until dissolved.

Buchi Filling:

2 Cups Sweet potatoes (mashed)
1/4 Cup condense milk
2 tbsp butter
